Whatever happened to Wolverine’s bottom half? For that matter, whattabout Quentin Quire from the shoulders down? Prepare to find out, my friends…
Today our (makeshift) X-Treme Team takes on a group of MERCs who maybe aren’t completely ready for prime-time. They make plenty of mistakes… but, the sort that kinda have to happen for the story to work out the way it does. That’s just the row we hoe with X-Force(d).
Also: Some great listener mail… featuring thoughts on the new take on Bobby Drake, the “shoe-drop” issue of HoXPoX, and the hottest take of them all… somebody liked the New Mutants “Farm” story???

I'm not a big fan of gore in my X-Men comics but if they insist on doing it I like them to go over the top. This issue was approaching Lobo levels of cartoon violence. I do find the idea of half a Wolverine chasing people down quite amusing and I like the idea of sticking him together like a broken plate funny. But as you say the whole plot relies on the villains being very stupid.
Despite all that this is never going to be for me and I'm not warming to it as a whole. Biggest problem remains the out of character dialogue. I'm continuing to see the authorial voice overwhelm Beast and Jean in particular.
Can't wait for tomorrow's Fallen Angels. I know you say it's your least listened to but I think you really do a good job of explaining how and why it fails and more people should listen. There often your funniest episodes too, but I do have a slightly perverse sense of humour.
