Today we’re going to discuss the necessary “next step” issue of Marauders, in which, much of our team finds out exactly what happened to Call Me Kate. It’s an issue of reactions – which I myself will react to, and have a good time doing so. There’s also some mutant on nameless, faceless mercenary goon violence… which never gets boring (citation needed).

I have very little to say about this issue because it was practically perfect. The reactions of each character to Kitty's death were perfectly executed. Each revealed a truth about the team. The elemental fury of Iceman particularly stood out. Ice has the potential to seriously injure people without killing them. He can hurt people without killing them in a way that few of the X-Men can.
I think I've said before that my favourite element of Marauders is the momentum. Everything feels important and it relentlessly moves on. There's no part 4 of 6 feeling. Every issue advances the overall story or shows a development of character. It's wonderful..
