Today we wrap up our time in Terra Verde – home of the violent “veg”!
Guess what — we also kill the same couple of characters who keep getting killed in these books! Your humble host is growing more and more tired. X-Force also loses a member – it’s “moral compass” no less!
All that, and I talk a whole lot about creators having “skin in the game” during the mailbag portion – which I hope doesn’t ruffle too many feathers! It’s a good time as always – hop aboard and join us!

Veg is a very British term. I genuinely don't believe I've said the word vegetables aloud for a couple of decades. It might help to stop it seeming too repetitive if Percy alternated it with veggies which can be used interchangeably with veg but can also refer to vegetarians.
Onto the bulk of the story it seems that they are setting up Beast's decent into being a bad guy. The closing scene kind of sets up Jean, Wolverine and Cyclops against Beast. I can see that being fertile ground for stories.
By the way I'm with you in wishing they hadn't shown the Jean/Wolverine relationship on panel. I preferred the X-Men number 1 device where it was there for the shippers but could be ignored.
