Welcome to Earth, Arrako… hope we survive the X-Perience!

That’s right, friends… it’s with this issue of X-Men that the trade enforced at the conclusion of the Festival of Swords comes to pass.  Arrako arrives in the 616… but, how quickly will these new near-Omega level mutants (who have been crossbred with Amenthi demons) acclimate to their new digs?  We’ve got a lot to talk about today!

If you’re digging the show… or at least appreciate the effort put into it, please consider spreading the word!  Thank you!

I have read this issue a number of times and I never realised that we had already met Idyll. When I read the info pages I thought we only knew Isca and Tarn. I love the idea of a precog being introduced to Krakoa even if it's just subtly and there is no doubt that we are meant to be reminded of Mystique's wife in the Council scenes.

I do come away from this issue wondering if the eventual replacement for Apocalypse on the Council will be Isca. She's dismissive of Xavier and Magneto but she also seems happy to educate them. She has also retained her colour change from when she switched allegiance during X of Tens. Maybe she's a Krakoan in waiting

The Hellfire Gala intrigues me. We're going to get the announcement of the X-Men team but there are also going to be human guests and we know there are elements of a fashion show for Jumbo Carnation as well. They have just released images of variant covers which feature some of Russell Dauterman's costume designs for the Hellfire Gala and they are really out there. They're definitely not practical superhero costumes so I find myself wondering what is going to happen at the Gala.

I feel that I should also take a little time to praise Phil Noto. This issue looks amazing. With the announcement that Cable is ending I have to hope that we will see more of Noto on X-Men.

Anyway until it is revealed that Chris is one of the redacted members of the Great Ring, Make Mine X-Lapsed!
