I continue to enjoy Children of the Atom considerably more than you. I'm finding the use of a different narrator each month to be a clever way of getting us right inside the character's heads. It seems increasingly likely that all my theories about the origins of their powers were wrong and that they're actually technologically based. Except, maybe, for Carmen. I suppose Marvel-science does establish that you can gain powers by exposure to cosmic rays so she may not be a mutant. It might be interesting to see the CoTA kids used to explore the actual difference between super-humans and mutants. It does seem weird that the populace of the Marvel Universe sees them as so different when the difference is very slight.
I'm still enjoying CoTA. It's slipped into my must buy section with Marauders, New Mutants and Hellions (taking the X-Factor spot as I have bought and read the end of that series). I imagine it's conceived as a maxi-series rather than as an ongoing. I feel that once the central mystery is fully explained it will become a bit redundant.
Anyway until you pivot the podcast into a crafting network, Make Mine X-Lapsed!
