Taking a half-step off the beaten path to deep dive on… a robbery! That’s right, gang – there’s been a heist in the Marvel Universe, wherein editorial and marketing stole one of the more seminal beats in X-History and handed it over to the Avengers… cuz, lord knows they need it!
Today it’s Phoenix Song: Echo – can Maya Lopez sidestep both Phoenix Corruption and Mansplaining long enough to do something worthwhile? Let’s find out together!

It was terrific to hear from Damien and Evan in a single episode!
Also, my parents were in their mid-30s when they had kids, some friends’ parents were in their late 30s and early 40s, and I have a few friends who themselves began having children in their early 40s. So it’s not too late.
Hi Chris, I haven’t read this comic and I honestly have no interest in reading it but having listened I have a question. Why does the Phoenix power set fire to a building? It is a long established fact that Phoenix flame is psychic and is not an actual heat source. Is this another case of Avengers shenanigans changing the Phoenix (eg. AvX) or just wonky continuity?
