No Man’s Land remains in One-Off Land, as we engage in a bit of world building. This time out, we meet up with the last holdout of a doomed Gotham neighborhood as he tries to protect his homestead.

I liked this issue. It adds flavor to the common residents of Gotham in this No Man’s Land. It probably won’t happen, but I wouldn’t mind seeing g more of Sarge. Maybe teaming up with the GCPD. I feel like he could be a character that bridges the viewpoints of Gordon and Pettit.
We’ve seen the map of what gangs control what areas of Gotham and I would love to know where Sarge’s house is located. A whole lot of different gangs show up there. We get not only the appearance of the Joker but also the first appearances of Mr. Freeze, Killer Crock, and Victor Zsasz. Plus the GCPD and the Street Demonz all in one place.
My bucket list is currently occupied by the Marvel licensed comics of the 1970s and 1980s. The Rom and Micronauts Omnibuses are like gold to me. I’ve got the Godzilla Omnibus on pre-order and am hoping against hope for Shogun Warriors to get collected. The series and issues that came out 5 to 10 years before I started buying comics are all bucket list items for me.
