I'm starting to wonder if what an issue of X-Force needs for me to enjoy it is for Beast to be absent because I really enjoyed this one. Maybe it's my hatred of the character assassination of Beast that stops me falling for X-Force. Of course Benjamin Percy did have to include the most irritating text page in months just to keep me hating. Why would you put a conversation between your protagonists on a text page? That's not seasoning that's the bloody main course.
I did continue to love Garry Brown's art. I like the horror elements being scratchy and abstract rather than Cassara's realism which sometimes is a little too freaky. Your point about the faces being vague is right but I think that works quite well on a book like X-Force where subtlety is not required. To use one of my Mum's old phrases it is "as subtle as a hang-glider flashing".
