After I do my darnest to navigate the OUTLAWED storyline, we discuss former Champion, Cyclops’ attempt to help out his old friends. Also: The Marauders show up! It’s about as X-Book as we can get… without being an actual X-Book!

I've never read an issue of Champions before and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the character work on this book and particularly liked the way Cyclops was presesnted. I like my Cyclops slightly awkward and dorky- I've never been comfortable with the idea of him trading quips with Wolverine- so I liked the need to impress. My favourite bit was him briefly wearing his Champions costume for old times sake. It's consistent with him wearing his old X-Factor costume recently.
I also liked the art which is a good sign for Way of X.
Anyway until they make a great X-Men film, make mine X-Lapsed!
